Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has stressed for early signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Counter-Terrorism and Border Management and Surveillance between Pakistan and Nigeria.
He was talking to Defense Minister of Nigeria Bashir Salehi Magashi who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Foreign Minister said Pakistan and Nigeria have a long history of fraternal relation and the two countries have a common vision which is reflected in the coordination and cooperation at fora like UN, OIC and D-8.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the growing defense cooperation between Pakistan and Nigeria is gratifying and transfer of Pakistani JF-17 Thunder fighter jets and Super Mushak aircraft to Nigeria is a reflection of our strong defense cooperation.
The Foreign Minister said we look forward to finalizing the MoUs to end the visa restriction on official and diplomatic passport holders for bilateral political consultations as soon as possible.
