KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board selection committee is in process of shortlisting the players for the test series against West Indies.

The selection committee has been consulting with the Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and Coach Mickey Arthur along with Captain Misbah-ul-Haq for the naming the Test series squad against West Indies.

Sources told that young fast bowlers Mir Hamza and Muhammad Abbas would be included in Test squad for WI tour. However, the committee could drop Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir from the Test matches.

The top order batsmen expected in the squad include Azhar Ali, Sami Aslam and Shan Masood. Sohail Khan, who was ignored for ODI and T20 squad, could be retained for the Test matches.

Also, selectors have conditioned the inclusion of Kamran Akmal in the Test squad with performance in One Day Internationals.

The set of players to participate in Test matches will be announced during the West Indies tour ODI series. Passports of cricketers for Test squad were reportedly sent for visas.
