A freight train going to Karachi from Lahore derailed near the Kotri bridge.According to the Railway Police, the traffic on the down track has been suspended after derailing the bogie of the freight train.
The Railway Police confirmed that the incident took place while crossing Kotri Bridge. The railway staff reached the spot to bring the bogie back on the track but the traffic was suspended on the down track till filing this report.
To a query, Kotre Railway Station Superintendent Ghani Abbasi confirmed the incident of derailing a bogie of the freight train but avoided providing details of the reason for it.
