Overseas Pakistani Commission holds Road show in Dubai

LAHORE: (APP) The Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab has organized a road show in Dubai (UAE) to sensitize Overseas Pakistanis about its functioning and redressal of their complaints at their doorsteps.

A large number of Pakistanis living in Dubai attended the event,says an official information released here on Sunday.

Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti addressing the participants said on special instructions of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the OPC Punjab was playing a proactive role in redressing grievances of Overseas Pakistanis.

The commission had received so far more than 4,000 complaints of overseas Pakistanis, out of which 50 percent have been redressed.

He said Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif personally monitored performance of the OPC Punjab.

The commissioner OPC said the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government had also adopted the OPC Punjab model to address problems of Overseas Pakistanis and OPC Punjab has provided technical assistance to set up an institution in Azad Kashmir.
