Pacer Mohammad Amir faces the setback over retirement decision

LAHORE – After Mohammad Amir decided to take retirement from internationalcricket on Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) contacted the fastbowler and confirmed his decision.

The PCB spokesperson said, “Mohammad Amir wished not to continueinternational cricket and the governing body completely respects hispersonal decision. He will not be considered for future tours.”

It is pertinent here to mention that Mohammad Amir decided to quitinternational cricket after he was dropped from the New Zealand tour, andsaid he will formally announce retirement in a couple of days.

The 28-year-old said he can work no longer with the current management.Earlier on Wednesday, Mohammad Amir said in a video statement that thereare no hopes of his comeback in Pakistan team and the behavior of bowlingcoach Waqar Younis is unbearable.
