ISLAMABAD – Exploration and Production companies have made 13 oil and gasdiscoveries in potential areas across the country under the ambitious planof the government to achieve autarky in the energy sector.
The discoveries have been made in a short span of four months in all fourprovinces and their overall rate of gas flow is around 105.18 million cubicfeet per day and oil flow is 5358 barrel per day.
According to details by the Petroleum and Natural Resources Division of theEnergy Ministry, Pakistan Petroleum Limited made a discovery in Sanghardistrict of Sindh and in Chakwal district of Punjab.
Similarly Oil and Gas Development Company Limited made a discovery in Kohat.

Five successful drills were also made by United Energy Pakistan Limited inTando Allah Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan and other districts of Sindh.
