ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s former leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed is likely to begiven key post by Pakistan Cricket Board, Media Report has revealed.

Mushtaq is likely become Pakistan’s spin bowling consultant. He was kept inmind while doling out the advertisement for the position. It is astoundingthat a head coach was required to be a level-two coach whereas the spinbowling consultant needs a level-three coaching certificate.

Sources in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have revealed that theappointment of Mushtaq is being made because of the insistence of headcoach-cum-chief selector Misbahul Haq.

According to details, the PCB recently issued an advertisement for theposition of spin bowling consultant. The advertisement called for alevel-three coaching certificate, along with at least five years of minimumexperience with elite cricketers, national or international teams.

The last date to apply for the position is November 19.

Sources claimed that the PCB, like always, had already finalised theappointment before issuing the advertisement. Mushtaq is the favourite forthe position.

He was the spin bowling coach for West Indies in the 2019 InternationalCricket Council (ICC) World Cup.
