Canadian PM Trudeau gives another blow to Israel, takes big initiative for Palestinians

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in a statement on Tuesday,addressed the escalating situation in Gaza. He called for the creation of ahumanitarian corridor and pledged $10 million in humanitarian aid toaddress urgent needs in Gaza. These actions came as previous diplomaticefforts to provide aid to Gaza had failed.

Trudeau highlighted the circumstances that led to the blockade in Gaza,mentioning that Israel, in response to an attack by Hamas that resulted inover 1,300 casualties, had imposed a comprehensive blockade and conductedextensive airstrikes in the region.

The Prime Minister of Canada emphasized the immediate necessity of ahumanitarian corridor, asserting that “Canada is calling for unobstructedhumanitarian access and a humanitarian corridor to enable the delivery ofessential aid, including food, fuel, and water, to the civilians in Gaza.”

He expressed deep concern over the deteriorating humanitarian crisis inthe region, emphasizing that unhindered humanitarian access should begranted.
