US President Donald Trump sends a warning cum threatening letter to Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan

WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump has warned Turkish President RecepTayyip Erdogan that if the Syria issue is not contained and resolved in ahumane way, he will destroy Turkey’s economy.

Trump’s letter to Turkish president first obtained by a *Fox Business*reporter.Later, the authenticity of the letter which is dated October 9 wasconfirmed to various news outlets by the White House.

In his letter, the US president has urged his counterpart to ‘make a deal’.“You don’t want to be responsible for slaughtering thousands of people, andI don’t want to be responsible for destroying the Turkish economy – and Iwill,” Trump threatens.

Trump has also urged Erdogan not to be a ‘tough guy’ and ‘not to be a fool’regarding the current situation in Syria. Urging the Turkish president notto let the world down, Trump says history will look upon Erdogan favorablyif he gets this done the right and humane way. “It will look upon youforever as the devil if good things don’t happen,” Trump says in his letter.

The US president also said that General Mazloum is willing to negotiatewith the Turkish president and is willing to make concessions that theywould never have made in the past. Trump also enclosed General Mazloum’sletter to Erdogan.

“Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!” Trump finished, adding: “I willcall you later.”
