US troops withdrawal from Afghanistan, Pakistan Army s response

LONDON – Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) MajorGeneral Asif Ghafoor Tuesday said there was a significant decrease interrorist activities due to effective operation of Pakistan army.

Addressing at the Warwick University here, he said it was the desire ofPakistan that United States should stay in Afghanistan till restoration ofcomplete peace there.

He said Malala Yousufzai, a children education activist and the Noble PeacePrize winner, was attacked in Swat by terrorists who were against theeducation of girls.

He said world would have not defeated the Al-Qaeda without the help ofPakistan.

The DG ISPR said world should be thankful to Pakistan for eliminatingterrorism, reminding that his country had rendered unmatched sacrifices forachieving peace in the region.

Asif Ghafoor stressed that stability in Afghanistan was imperative fordurable peace in Pakistan and the region.
