Tehran, Oct 16, IRNA – Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi onTuesday urged Pakistan government to take necessary measures for releasingIranian kidnapped forces and also arresting the terrorists.
Qasemi slammed the terrorist act which resulted in the kidnapping of someIranian border guards.
Fourteen Basij (volunteer forces) and border guard forces were abducted byterrorists in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan border with Pakistan on Mondaymorning, an informed source earlier said.
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement that Pakistanis expected to fight terrorists and outlaws who have nested along theborders and are propped up by some reactionary and terrorist regionalcounties.
Foreign Minister’s Assistant in West Asia called Pakistan ambassador toTehran to spare no efforts in releasing Iranian forces in the framework ofbilateral ties, good neighborliness and the commitments under bilateralagreements and international regulations.
Pakistan ambassador to Tehran has also been requested to reflect the issueas soon as possible and make Iranian Foreign Ministry informed of alldevelopments.
Pakistan ambassador also expressed deep regret over the accident, Qasemisaid.
Meanwhile, Iranian ambassador to Islamabad visited officials and urgedPakistan government to release Iranian border guards and to act firmlyagainst outlaws and takfiri terrorists.
