Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Faiz Esa, took a significant step assoon as he assumed office.
He formed the first bench for hearings. Justice Faiz Esa had maintained forthe past several months that until a decision is made on the Practice andProcedure Act in the Supreme Court, they would not be part of any bench,and he had also expressed this view when separating from the bench hearingthe military court case.
Now, after taking the oath of his office, he has formed the first bench forhearings, which will take place tomorrow. The hearing of the case will beconducted by a 14-member full court of the Supreme Court
