Chairman of the Management Committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board, ZakkaAshraf, has said that there is an unlimited increase in the rewards ofplayers’ contracts and match fees so that the cricketers do not considerother options.
Speaking informally with journalists in Colombo, Zakka Ashraf stated thatnational cricketers have been informed about Central Contracts, the numberof leagues they can play in has also been disclosed, and Central Contractshave been organized with a focus on the players’ improvement.
Zakka Ashraf mentioned that the cricketers have Central Contracts, theywill see when they sign them, and there is an unlimited increase in therewards of players’ contracts and match fees so that cricketers do not lookelsewhere. Agents of the cricketers advise them on various aspects, and dueto discussions on various issues, there has been a delay in CentralContracts.
He further stated that Category A players will only be allowed to play intwo leagues, except for the Pakistan Super League (PSL), they will also bepermitted to play in another league due to workload management. Playerswill not be able to participate in any leagues two months prior to megaevents and important series.
