Embarrassed India responds shamelessly over Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohamad s claims

NEW DELHI – Embarrassed India responds shamelessly over Malaysian PMMahathir Mohamad’s claims of rejecting Indian government over Islamicpreacher Zakir Naik.

India says it wants the extradition of controversial Islamic preacher ZakirNaik who has taken permanent residency in Malaysia and is working towardsit.

The Indian government was caught lying over the issue of Zakir Naik that ithad requested Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohammad for his extradition.

Addressing a press conference in Delhi over completion of 100 days of thegovernment, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “Let me make itvery clear for the record, there is an extradition request for Zakir Naik.We want him back and that is what we are working towards.”

Mr Jaishankar’s remarks came in response to a question regarding MalaysianPrime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s claim that his Indian counterpartNarendra Modi had not asked for Naik to be extradited to India duringdiscussions on the sidelines of Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostokearlier this month.
