PM Imran Khan will be accorded special protocol in Saudi Arabia by Royal Family: Sources

RIYADH – Prime Minister Imran Khan will be accorded special protocol byKing Salman and Saudi Crown Prince in his maiden visit to Saudi Arabia.

PM Khan on Tuesday will land in Riyadh on his first foreign visit sinceassuming office as country’s premier.

The foreign visit has been arranged on invitations from King Salman binAbdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. The visit comes at timewhen Islamabad is facing balance-of-payments crisis and is looking forloans from allies in bid to avoid another International Monetary Fund (IMF)package.

“The Prime Minister will call on His Majesty King Salman and hold abilateral meeting with the Crown Prince,” it said, adding that the kingwill also host a special state banquet for the prime minister at the royalcourt.

“The Prime Minister will meet Saudi leadership and will discuss regionaland international issues,” another senior government official told AFP.

Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has already arrived in Beijing on anthree-day official visit, the military said Sunday.

“During the visit COAS (Bajwa) will interact with various Chinese leadersincluding his counterpart,” it said.
