ISLAMABAD – The Finance Ministry has assures all applicants makingdeclarations under the Tax Amnesty Scheme that the information provided bythem shall remain strictly confidential and the guarantees provided underthe scheme shall be abided in letter and spirit.
In a statement today, the Ministry reiterated that leakage of informationby anyone about declarants and declarations under the scheme is punishable,on conviction, by a fine not less than five hundred thousand rupees to onemillion rupees or imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or withboth.
