Gaza: Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has urged countries tooffer more concrete action, rather than words, against Israeli brutalitiesin Gaza.
While speaking from the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, he saidthat it’s not enough at all to have declarations and the United Nations(UN) must issue a resolution terming all Israeli actions as illegal andillegitimate.
The PM further urged allies to summon ambassadors of Israel and suspendtrade relations with the country “until Israel respects human rights”.
“The license of killing has been renewed for Israel and this must bestopped immediately,” he said.
Israel on Monday continued its bombardment on Gaza Strip as death tollnears 200. The Israeli military launched new raids on the Gaza Strip fewhours following the announcement made by Israel’s caretaker Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu who said that an end to hostilities ‘was not imminent’.
On Sunday, the Israel’s bombardment entered its eighth killing least 42Palestinians and injuring several others. Two residential buildings werealso destroyed as the result of heavy bombardment.
