ISLAMABAD – National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has announced anindefinite ban on tourism across the country.——————————

The government has ordered all the markets to close by 8 PM and has allowedthe resumption of office work in regular working hours and at a 50 percentsitting capacity. The NCOC will issue instructions pertaining to generaltravel accordingly.

Over the weekend, the NCOC decided to ease the lockdown restrictions thathad been imposed for the Eid holidays to prevent the transmission of thecoronavirus by limiting the movement of people.

Public transport between the provinces, cities, and within cities wasresumed on Sunday on the condition that each vehicle will utilize only 50percent of the seating capacity and that all the passengers will follow theSOPs issued by the government. Railway operations have also been resumedwith the instruction to use no more than 70 percent occupational capacity.
