The European Union Ambassador Androulla Kaminara Monday called on Chief ofArmy Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ.

During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional security situationincluding recent developments in Afghan Peace Process were discussed.

COAS said that Pakistan values its relations with the EU and we earnestlylook forward to enhance mutually beneficial multi-domain relations based oncommon interests.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts for bringingpeace and stability in the region, especially the Afghan Peace Process.

The other day US Charge d’ Affairs to Pakistan Mrs Angela Aggeler wascalled on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS).

According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting,matters of mutual interest, overall regional security situation, bilateralcooperation in various fields, fight against COVID-19 and recentdevelopments in the Afghan Peace Process were discussed.

Army Chief said that Pakistan has sincerely supported the peace process anda prosperous, stable and peaceful Afghanistan is in the best interest ofthe region in general and Pakistan in particular.

COAS also hoped for greater Pak-US bilateral cooperation in all domains infuture.
