ISLAMABAD – PTI government set to drop yet another gas prices bomb ongeneral public.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended up to 47 percent increase in the prices of gas for the fiscal year 2019-2020, accordingto a spokesman for the regulator.
The spokesman said Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) had requestedthe regulator for 144 per cent hike in gas price, whereas Sui Southern GasCompany (SSGC) sought 30 per cent increase.
He said public hearings were held on requests by the gas supplyingcompanies in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta.
