ISLAMABAD – A distillery was unearthed in capital s Police FoundationColony, which led to the recovery of a huge quantity of liquor and wineincluding 442 wine bottles and 300 liter alcohol, police said.
On a tip off, DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed assigned the task to SP(Investigation) Syed Mustafa Tanveer to conduct a raid and arrest thoseinvolved in bootlegging activities.
SP (Investigation) constituted a team under the supervision of DSP CrimeInvestigation Agency (CIA) Hakim Khan including ASIs Sudher Abbassi, AshfaqMemon and others.
This team conducted a raid at distillery at street No. 22 of PoliceFoundation Colony located near PWD Colony in Loi Bher police area.
Police team recovered 442 wine bottles, 24 liquor bottles, 300 literalcohol in 10 cans, labels of different brands of alcohol, corks and othermaterial used in the manufacturing process.
Police team also nabbed three bootleggers identified as Haroon Masih, SomiMasih and Tabrez Masih. Further raids are being conducted to arrest theirother accomplices.
