Four policemen arrested in Karachi

KARACHI: Four policemen were arrested on Wednesday after a minor boy waskilled during alleged shootout between suspects and police at Karachi’sUniversity Road near Safoora Chowrangi on Tuesday evening.

According to the police, the case has been registered on the complaint ofthe child’s father Kashif on the charges of attempted and unintentionalmurder.

The 19-month-old boy, Ahsan was traveling along with his parents in arickshaw when a bullet hit him near Safoora roundabout, the FIR stated.

According to Additional Police Surgeon Dr Shiraz, the minor was shot from adistance of 10-15 feet. The surgeon determined that the cause of the deathwas a bullet to the chest.

Taking notice of the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah sought adetailed report of the incident, while talking to media Adviser to thechief minister on law and information Murtaza Wahab, said that aninvestigation into the incident should not be carried out by police as theyhad been accused in the case.
