All not well in PCB after 53rd meeting of PCB Board of Governors

*ISLAMABAD – It seems all is not well with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)after the 53rd meeting of the PCB Board of Governors (BoG), was adjournedfor a later date due to an incomplete quorum.*

As per reports, majority members of the BoG rejected the appointment ofWasim Khan as managing director. In a resolution written and signed by fiveof the seven BoG members, they demanded that MD Wasim Khan’s “appointmentand the unconstitutional post of MD PCB be declared null and void.”

The resolution further stated that “any move to abolish departments andregions in the restructuring of domestic cricket” and demanded formation ofa Domestic Cricket Restructuring Committee (DCRC) to draw up proposals fordomestic restructuring, to be presented at a special BoG meeting on April30 in Lahore.”

Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani expressed disappointment over ‘today’sevents’ and reaffirmed to ‘not get derailed by personal agendas.’

“I am hugely disappointed by today’s events as I was looking forward to aninteractive, productive and constructive discussion, which was aimed attaking Pakistan cricket forward,” said PCB Chief Ehsan Mani.

“Yesterday, we called on the honourable Chief Minister of Balochistan andengaged in fruitful and enlightening discussions to promote cricket inBalochistan. It is, therefore, particularly disappointing that therepresentative from Balochistan also refused to return for the BoGmeeting,” he said.
