Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has stressed for early signing ofMemorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Counter-Terrorism and BorderManagement and Surveillance between Pakistan and Nigeria.
He was talking to Defense Minister of Nigeria Bashir Salehi Magashi whocalled on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Foreign Minister said Pakistan and Nigeria have a long history offraternal relation and the two countries have a common vision which isreflected in the coordination and cooperation at fora like UN, OIC and D-8.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the growing defense cooperation between Pakistanand Nigeria is gratifying and transfer of Pakistani JF-17 Thunder fighterjets and Super Mushak aircraft to Nigeria is a reflection of our strongdefense cooperation.
The Foreign Minister said we look forward to finalizing the MoUs to end thevisa restriction on official and diplomatic passport holders for bilateralpolitical consultations as soon as possible.
