*ISLAMABAD – **Important decisions taken in the federal cabinet meeting inIslamabad. **The federal cabinet has approved the upcoming budget strategypaper in next year on Tuesday.*
Briefing the newsmen in Islamabad today regarding the federal cabinetmeeting, Special Assistant on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has saidthat Adviser on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, while giving briefing onbudget strategy paper, said that unprecedented achievements have been madein a relative shorter period of time.
The cabinet overviewed the amounts spent on food security, health, highereducation, tourism and other sectors. It was informed that presentgovernment has paid 5000 billion rupees debt, financially empowered theministries and increased revenue by 17 per cent.
Under PSDP, 700 billion rupees and under public private partnership 250billion rupees were earmarked.
It was informed that due to the bad policies of previous governments, along term program was adopted for reducing the higher load of utility bills.*PM will address nation over coronavirus situation*
She also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation totake into confidence regarding the situation on coronavirus. She said thecabinet was apprised of the overall situation relating to Coronavirus andthe steps taken by National Coordination Committee to deal with it.
