ISLAMABAD – Pakistan cricket may face a big blow because of Indiangovernment decision.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury has revealed thatPakistan are likely to lose the hosting rights for this year’s Asia Cupsince India won’t tour the country.

Nizamuddin also made it clear that rumours of Pakistan giving the hostingrights to Bangladesh in order for them to tour the nation are false.

“There is no relation between the Asia Cup and the series. There was adiscussion regarding the Asia Cup venue on the sideline of the meeting.Pakistan is the host of the tournament but they may not host it as Indiawill not tour Pakistan,” Nizamuddin was quoted as saying by *CricketPakistan*link.

He also pointed out that the Asia Cup could be held at different venues, whereby half of the tournament would be played in Pakistan, while India’smatches will take place in a neutral venue like the United Arab Emirates orMalaysia.

However, Nizamuddin admitted that this will not be financial viable.

He added that Bangladesh are open to hosting the event should India refuseto tour Pakistan.
