Federal government puts forward three names for the slot of the Inspector General of Police Sindh

KARACHI – Federal government puts forward three names for the slot of theInspector General of Police Sindh.

After provincial government, the federation on Friday has also put forwardnames of former Karachi Police Chief Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh, AdditionalInspector General (AIG) Ghulam Nabi Memon and AIG Establishment andTraining Dr Aftab Ahmed Pathan for the post of Sindh IG.

According to details, the police department has prepared its reply overprovincial government’s charge sheet, declaring political interference ascause of Kaleem Imam’s removal from Sindh IG post.

Sources told that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh leadership and someleaders from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are agreed on the name of Dr Amir.

Earlier, provincial government had forwarded names of Ghulam Qadir Thebo,Mushtaq Mehar and Kamran Fazal for the post of Sindh Inspector General tothe federal government.

Earlier, Sindh cabinet had approved the removal of Kaleem Imam as Sindh IGover his alleged non-cooperation with the provincial government.
