Iran vows to stand with Pakistan against US aggressive posture

TEHRAN (FNA)- Senior Iranian and Pakistani Defense officials in a meetingin Tehran underlined the need for broadening bilateral ties, especially injoin production of military equipment.

During the meeting in the Iranian capital on Tuesday, Iranian DefenseMinister Brigadier General Amir Hatami and Pakistani Minister for DefenseProduction Rana Tanveer Hussain explored avenues for bolstering andreinvigorating defense relations.

“The development of defense cooperation between Iran and Pakistan will leadto rising security and stability of the region,” General Hatami said.

“The experience of recent years has revealed the US criminal purposes andintentions for independent countries of the region.

The United States and the Zionist regime are the most dangerous and thebiggest supporters of the terrorism in the region and the extremism hasoriginated from the US policies in the region,” he added.

In relevant remarks in mid-November, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan MehdiHonardoust underlined that Tehran and Islamabad “are resolved to furtherbroaden and strengthen bilateral relations and mutual cooperation”.

There are huge potentials for cooperation between the two powers of theregion, “with good neighborly ties and whole history of friendship andfraternity”, Honardoust said in an interview.

He said Iran and Pakistan are determined to boost relationship, which was“completely opposite to the Western apparatus, creators of division amongMuslim societies, which unfortunately has been evident in recent years.

The Muslim societies have been under fire of division, which is exactlybeing pursued by foreign elements”.
