ISLAMABAD (APP): In addition to a large number of complaints from the general public, PEMRA has received a complaint from President, Anjuman Ahmedia Pakistan against two satellite TV channels NEO TV and Channel 92 for airing content in programmes Harf-e-Raz and Subha-e-Noor respectively.

According to the complaints, this content is provocative against a minority whose members are already threatened, harassed and have suffered a number of terrorist attacks in the past, a PEMRA press release said.
The complainants have also mentioned that such programming serves no national interest and is rather incitement to violence against minorities which is violation of National Action Plan and PEMRA laws.
The complainants have expressed serious concerns on airing such contents and have requested PEMRA to take action against content promoting disharmony among people.

PEMRA has sent the complaint to Council of Complaints, Lahore for further action.
According to PEMRA laws, hearing opportunities to both the channels and the complainants will be provided before a decision is recommended.
