In the latest market updates, local gold prices concluded their upward trend on Thursday, experiencing a decrease in the value of 24-karat gold by Rs500 per tola, settling at Rs214,300.
The Karachi Sarafa Association reported that the 10-gram 24-karat gold ended the day at Rs183,728, witnessing a drop of Rs428, while the 10-gram 22-karat gold closed at Rs166,452, down by Rs393.
In contrast to gold, the price of silver remained unchanged in the domestic market, with both 24-karat silver and 10-gram 24-karat silver finishing at Rs2,580 and Rs2,211.93, respectively.
It's essential to note that domestic gold prices are closely tied to fluctuations in international prices and the local currency's interbank exchange rate.
On the global front, the international spot is currently trading at $1,966.65, indicating a 0.36 percent increase compared to its previous close.
