Supreme Court has sought reply from the parties on the joint investigation team's report about the Pakpattan Shrine land within fifteen days.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Umar Atta Bandiyal heard the case.
Justice Bandiyal observed that transfer of the land was a violation of the court order. He further said that protection of the government's land would be ensured in all circumstances.
Rafique Rajwana, counsel of Nawaz Sharif who was the Chief Minister of Punjab at the time of land transfer argued before the court that his client has no role in the whole issue. He said the Pakpattan Shrine land was handed over to the custodian to look after the property.
Further hearing of the case will be held after Eid ul Fitr.
