LAHORE – Intelligence agencies have arrested three alleged terrorists during an operation carried out late Wednesday night from Lahore’s Bhati Gate area.
The intelligence agencies arrested three alleged terrorists, including a woman facilitator and shift them to an undisclosed location for further investigations pertaining to the probe into May 8 blast outside the Data Darbar shrine which had claimed 12 lives and wounded at least 25 others, Geo News reported.
Five police officials identified as Head Constable Shahid Nazir, Head Constable Muhammad Sohail, Head Constable Gulzar Ahmad, and Constable Muhammad Saleem, a security guard and civilians were among those martyred in the suicide terror attack which targetted an elite force van stationed outside the entrance of Data Darbar.
The security forces are conducting the operation to arrest suspects believed to be involved in the Data Darbar blast. Several suspects have been arrested so far in various operations.
Last week, security forces had arrested five suspected facilitators from Garhi Shahu area after a raid on tea stall. While another suspected facilitator was arrested from Gujranwala two days later.
