Pakistan needs $372mn to recover from locust damage: UN

ISLAMABAD-United Nations says Pakistan needs 372 million dollars over the coming three years in additional funding to survey, control and recover from the locust damage.
Responding to a question at the regular briefing, UN Deputy Spokesman Farhan Aziz Haq said the locust attack has significantly affected Pakistan and it is expected to cause further damage at the end of summer.
He said the UN Food and Agriculture Organization is providing technical advice and support to Pakistani government for locust surveillance and control.
