Special Assistant on Capital Development Authority Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan has said the main focus of CDA's budget approved yesterday is on development schemes and to strengthen the civic body.
He was addressing a post budget news conference on CDA's budget in Islamabad today.
The special assistant said that non development expenditures have been frozen at the level of previous year as part of present government's austerity drive. He said the total receipts of the civic body have been estimated at twenty two billion rupees.
Ali Nawaz Awan said the CDA also plans to carry out refurbishment of roads in the federal capital, for which one hundred million rupees have been allocated.
The special assistant said that the residents of Islamabad will also see progress on the Ghazi Barotha water supply project which will help to meet the water requirements of both Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Ali Nawaz Khan said that the Master Plan of Islamabad is also being revisited and in future the people will also see sky- scrapers in the capital.
