How Pakistan reacts to the Turkish failed military Coup?

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attempt to undermine democracy by a failed coup in the brotherly country of Turkey.

In a statement he admired the resolve of the brave and resilient Turkish people, who stood up against the forces of darkness and anarchy to express their support and commitment to democracy.

He expressed complete support and solidarity with President Erdogan, the democratically elected government of Turkey and the democratic institutions of Turkey.

He said Pakistan reaffirms its abiding interest in a democratic, peaceful and stable Turkey.

The Prime Minister said we wish to convey our prayers and good wishes for President Erdogan’s well-being and welfare of the people of Turkey as well as the unity of the Islamic Ummah.

He said Pakistan highly values its strong and historic ties with Turkey.

Pakistan deeply appreciates President Erdogan’s steadfast support as also the support of the people of Turkey to Pakistan on all occasions, whenever the need arose.

He reaffirmed full support of the Government and people of Pakistan to the elected Leadership and Government and the people of Turkey.

Pakistan stands by the people and the government of Turkey.

In a statement, spokesperson of government of Pakistan said that we support the will of the people reflected in the democratic system and the democratically elected leadership of Turkey.

He said Pakistan condemns the attempt to undermine democracy and rule of law in Turkey.

The spokesperson said the Pakistani nation hopes that peace and normalcy will be restored in Turkey.

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said Turkish people have defeated the dark forces and defended their right to rule.

In a twitter message, he said Turkish people have come out in streets challenging attempt to subvert democracy and martial law is not rule of law.

The Minister said Muslim countries need democracy to overcome their challenges.

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has also felicitated the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish Prime Minister and public on foiling the conspiracy against their democratic system.

In a statement in Lahore, he said with this move Turkey has stamped on the rule of people in their country.

He said these incidents have proved that Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is a public leader.
