NEW DELHI - In India, Muslim organizations, human right groups, university students and several political parties staged protest demonstrations against Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in different parts of the country.
In New Delhi, civil rights activists organised a protest rally holding placards and banners with crossed-out images of the Israeli prime minister that read “Go back, Netanyahu” in English and Hindu.
A group of university students also hold rally near the Israeli embassy.
In Mumbai, India-Palestine Solidarity Forum, a civil society group held a press conference, which was attended by the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi Tushar Gandhi, denounced India’s welcome of Netanyahu.
