Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said strengthening of the national institutions is imperative for the development and prosperity of the country.
Talking to a private news channel, he said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been given the mandate by the people to hold all the corrupt accountable.
He said it is for the first time in the country's history that the corrupt leaders are being prosecuted in the courts.
Information Minister said many opposition leaders, who remained involved in corrupt practices, are making futile attempts to seek ways out like the NRO.
Referring to the speech of PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari at a public meeting in Hyderabad, he said it is strange that those who had ruined the country in their thousands days of rule, are passing their judgement on only 100 days of PTI government.
