WAH CANTT: (APP) Army lifts the champions' cup by beating PAF in all Pakistan Chairman POF Board Indoor Basketball Tournament played between Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force at POF Sports Complex Wah Cantt on Tuesday.
Pakistan Army defeated the Pakistan Air Force (71-45) and clinched the title.
WAPDA got 3rd position by defeating Lahore Division (72-66). Lt Gen Omar Mahmood Hayat, HI(M) Chairman POF Board was the Chief Guest of the concluding ceremony who distributed prizes among the players.
Earlier, Secretary POF Sports Control Board Asad Durrani in his welcoming remarks told that POF Sports Control Board under the patronage of Lt Gen Omar Mahmood Hayat, HI(M) Chairman POF Board & guideline of Dr. Amir Murad President POF Sports Control Board is constantly holding various sport events of national & international level at POF Wah.
This endeavor of POF Sports Control Board will not only improve the soft image of Pakistan at international level but will also be helpful in hunting new talent.
Secretary POF Sports Control Board further told that 16 renowned teams from all over the country participated in this tournament.
Pakistan Air Force, WAPDA Pakistan Army and Lahore succeeded at Semi Final level.
A large number of Basketball lovers & players witnessed the concluding ceremony.
