LAHORE: (APP) Director General Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Waheed Akhtar Ansari inaugurated the new building of oldage home for homeless senior citizens at Social Welfare Complex on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Waheed Akhtar Ansari said that senior citizens were a precious asset and their look after was the religious and moral responsibility of the society.
He said that boarding and lodging would be provided free of charge to the aged persons while recreational facilities will also be arranged for them.
The DG gave instructions to in-charge Afiyat to spare no effort in the lookafter of the aged persons.
He also issued instructions for installing a lift in the building for the convenience of senior citizens.
