Pakistan pick Imam-ul-Haq for England, Ireland series

LAHORE: Pakistan have selected former cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq’s nephew Imam-ul-Haq for the upcoming tours of England and Ireland scheduled to take place this summer.  

Pakistan announced the 16-member squad for the upcoming tour of England and Ireland on Sunday.

“The National Selection Committee headed by Inzamam ul Haq after consultation with Captain Sarfraz Ahmed and Head Coach Mickey Arthur has announced the 16-member Test squad,” PCB stated.

Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Saad Ali and Usman Salahuddin have been included in a test squad for the first time.

Fawad Alam was left out from the squad yet again despite finishing at third place in the fitness test.

Wahab Riaz was not picked by the selectors while Yasir Shah has been ruled out from the test matches due to an injury.

Pakistan will play two Tests against England and a one-off Test against Ireland this summer.
