LAHORE: While staging demonstration here at today in Punjab Assembly, Opposition demanded resignation of Punjab government over the failure in operation against Chotu gang.
As per details, session of Punjab Assembly was held here at today under the chairmanship of Speaker Rana
Iqbal. Opposition members were stopped by Speaker when they tried to debate the issue in Assembly.
Over the protest of Opposition, Rana Sana Ullah briefed House saying that operation was launched against chotu gang by elite force with the collaboration of Rangers while seven hundred shells were fired during operation to curb chotu gang.
Gang was noosed by police from three sides during operation, Rana Sana explained adding that police had succeeded to defeat it from two sides but trapped from one sides but despite of difficulties policemen fought against criminals and got martyrdom.
One thousand policemen had been trained to launch operation against Chotu gang in Rajanpur, Law minster said claiming that Chotu gang would be taken to its logical end within next couple of days.
Opposition further wanted to debate the issue in Assembly but they were not allowed by Speaker after that they staged protest outside Punjab Assembly.
