Army and PAF Chiefs witness Pakistan Air Defence long range weapons launch

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said Pakistan Armed Forces, withthe support of our great nation, are fully prepared to vanquish threats inall domains.

He said this while visiting field exercise area near Gujranwala onWednesday.

Air Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan also accompanied the Army Chief during hisvisit.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa lauded professionalism of Army Air Defence andexpressed complete satisfaction on operational readiness.

The Army Chief emphasised that there is need for greater cooperation,integration and synchronisation to tackle complex and fluid battlefieldchallenges that lie ahead.

Army Chief and Air Chief witnessed ongoing field exercise, where conceptsrelated to optimum use of Long Range Air Defence weapon systems andairspace management were practiced.

The exercise manifested the concept of Comprehensive Layered Integrated AirDefence in which Air Defence weapons of all regimes were incorporated.

The exercise was particularly aimed at achieving synergy amongst AirDefence elements, manoeuvring forces and all aerial platforms includingfighter aircraft helicopters and drones, thereby mastering response againstany misadventure by the enemy.
