In Islamabad on Thursday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) prolonged the stayon the former prime minister’s jail trial in the cipher case until November20.
Imran Khan, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, is presently injudicial remand at Adiala jail in Rawalpindi. At the hearing, Imran Khan’slawyer Salman Akram Raja requested and secured an extension in the stayorder until Monday, November 20.
In a separate development, the ex-prime minister has approached the SupremeCourt, seeking post-arrest bail in the missing cipher case. In his plea,the PTI chairman appeals to the apex court to annul the IHC order in thecipher case and release him.
