LAHORE – Lahore High Court announces verdict in Nawaz Sharif name removalfrom ECL.
Lahore High Court has directed to remove the name of former Prime MinisterMuhammad Nawaz Sharif unconditionally from Exit Control List for four weeksfor his treatment abroad.
A two-member bench of LHC headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi gave theverdict after hearing the petition on the matter.
The court rejected the condition of indemnity bond to be submitted by NawazSharif.
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had filed a petition in the LHC seekingremoval of Nawaz’s name from the no-fly list.
The petition also asked that the court declare the condition for indemnitybonds as illegal.
