For the first time in history, Artists from 34 countries to arrive in Pakistan for International Islamabad Art Festival 2019

ISLAMABAD – Artists of 34 countries including Pakistan would participate infirst-ever thirteen-day international Islamabad Art Festival 2019 to becommenced from November 18.

President Islamabad Art Festival and Chief Curator Jamal Shah told APP onSaturday that artists of Republic of Turkey, United States of America,French Republic United Kingdom, Canada, Arab Republic of Egypt, Kingdom ofDenmark, Republic of Austria, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Cuba,Japan Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of Indonesia, Federal Republic ofGermany, Russian Federation and Kingdom of Saudi would participate in thefestival.

He said that Islamabad Art Festival is built upon the foundation ofcultural diversity that is so deeply embedded in the land that is nowPakistan, and in the people that are now Pakistani.

“Art has the unique capability of enabling the people to engage intimatelywith their natural and cultural heritage in a creative and critical manner”he said. Jamal Shah said that the spirit of creativity and innovationbrings people together and strengthens society as a whole.

Various cultural activities would be organized at different locations infederal capital including Sir Syed Memorial Complex, Art and Craft Village,Fatima Jinnah Park, Open Air Theater Shakarparian, Pakistan NationalCouncil of the Arts (PNCA), Saidpur Village, Serena Hotel Tanzara Gallery,Gallery 6 and Nukta Studios.
