ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and China have agreed to expedite implementation ofGwadar projects, particularly development of Gwadar social sector projects.
The agreement came during meetings of Joint Working Groups of Gwadar andPlanning via video conference in Islamabad.
The meetings were co-chaired by Secretary Planning, Development and ReformZafar Hasan and Director General National Development and Reform Commissionof China XIA Qing.
They recommended New Gwadar International Airport, China-PakistanFriendship Hospital Gwadar and Vocational and Technical Institute as maindeliverable to Joint Cooperation Committee to be held in Beijing next month.

The two sides also agreed to promote socio-economic development andfinalize a way forward for future cooperation in order to ensure earlyidentification and implementation of projects.
Expressing satisfaction over progress of CPEC project, Zafar Hasan said thegovernment of Pakistan gives great importance to development of Gwadar.
