The government has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel, but on theother hand, they have increased taxes and margins, which has reduced reliefto the public on diesel. The relief on high-speed diesel has been reducedby 6 rupees per liter.
According to documents, there has been an increase of 5 rupees per liter inthe petroleum levy on high-speed diesel. The levy on high-speed diesel hasbeen raised from 50 to 55 rupees.
According to the documents, the price of petrol has been maintained at 60rupees per liter, and an additional 47 paise has been added to the marginsof oil companies. The OMC margin for petrol is now set at 7.41 rupees perliter.
