A 5.6 magnitude earthquake jolted different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) including Sibi, Swat, Lower Dir, Shangla and its suburban parts onFriday, media reported.
The Meteorological Department said the depth of the earthquake was 242kilometers with epicentre in Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan.However, there were no reports of casualties or damage to property.
Earlier, earthquake tremors of magnitude 4.6 jolted parts of KhyberPakhtunkhwa with no damage to property or life. Tremors were felt inMardan, Shangla and surrounding areas.
The epicentre of the quake was in Hindukush region in Afghanistan with adepth of 150-kilometre.
