COAS General Qamar Bajwa witnessed sniper trainings of soldiers at Bahawalpur Corps

ISLAMABAD – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visitedBahawalpur on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, theCOAS was briefed on operational, training and administrative matters ofBahawalpur Corps.

The Army Chief also witnessed snipers’ training of soldiers whodemonstrated successfully shooting targets at long ranges as far as 1500meters. While interacting with officers and men, COAS appreciated theirprofessional prowess and high morale.

COAS also lauded shooters on their commendable marksmanship skills. COASparticularly congratulated trainers for optimum utilisation of Extreme LongRange facility developed to train high-quality marksmen and snipers who areproving decisive in today’s battlefield environment.

COAS said that training is vital part of every soldier’s professionaldevelopment and must remain our hallmark to meet the challenges of futurebattle field.

Also, COAS inaugurated Soldiers Club at Bahawalpur Garrison for the welfareof troops and their families. Earlier, on arrival, Corps CommanderBahawalpur, Lieutenant General Syed Muhammad Adnan received COAS.
