Why Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan postponed visit to Pakistan?

ISLAMABAD – Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has postponed his visit toPakistan due to the ongoing military operation in Syria.

Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul confirmed thepostponement of the visit and said that new dates will be announced soon.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan was due to visit Pakistan on October 24. Ahigh-level delegation of traders was also accompanying him. He hadconfirmed his visit during a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Meanwhile, President Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey’s offensive intonortheast Syria will end if Kurdish fighters in the region drop theirweapons and withdraw from a planned ‘safe zone’, warning that no powercould stop it until then.
